Our reservations were honored promptly, with only about a five-minute wait when we arrived, which was a pleasant start. The menu looked incredible, and we were particularly excited to try the Chef's Choice Sashimi big. We're so glad we did; the fish tasted incredibly fresh and had a wonderfully silky texture. Among the other rolls we ordered, the spicy yellowtail truly stood out – I'd never had it before, and I'm thrilled I tried it here. For drinks, I ordered an Old Fashioned, which was pretty basic and nothing to write home about. However, the Japanese beer I had was absolutely delightful! Parking was a bit of a hassle, but it's peak summer, so that's to be expected. The service was great, and the overall ambiance felt wonderfully upscale. We had a truly enjoyable birthday celebration!

Excellent food. We had a couple of rolls, the miso cod lettuce wraps, and eggplant. All were perfect. We had a featured unpasteurized sake that was delicious. The service was great as well. Highly recommend.

We go to Five Fusion every chance we get. The menu is creative and evolving and the Owner/MasterChef is renowned – read his bio on their website. The staff, from the servers to bartenders to kitchen, are warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Making a dietary omission or substitution has never been a problem. I think we’ve tried every dish on the menu more than once. We just can’t pick a favorite. Always fresh, always the most authentic ingredients. Cocktails and saki list are a whole other story
Nice place for a sushi date. The presentation of the food is intentional, the fish is fresh, the ambiance is nice, and the drinks are great. Everything feels a bit expensive, but the presentation justifies it. Had some miscues on little things; miso soup was below average definitely an afterthought, the mayo on the special roll was put on too thick and unbalanced the flavors, the sauce on the Sakura roll could have benefited from an oilier and less emulsified consistency, and the tuna chip surprised me with a sweetness that it didn’t need. Most of that stuff is just my preference and nitpicking, although if you can’t do something as simple as miso soup well, it does make me not look forward to the sushi as much. The delicious drinks and friendly service turned the tide. Not the fault of the service, but our food did take a while to come out. Overall the meal was enjoyable and I would come back if I wanted a fancier sushi date, but not for the sushi alone.
We went there for birthday celebrations. I need to day , we are spiked as far as sushi experience go, so my review may not reflect everyone's experience. First or all, the menu was interesting, with chef wanting to do creative dishes. Presentation was very nice. Our slight disappointment is that the seafood flavors, which was very fresh, was drowned in application of sauces and additional flavors. I know it so general trend in the US to enhance the flavor, but it is sort of departure from what i would expect as sushi experience to actually appreciate the individual fresh fish flavors. Kind of like making beef stew with wagyu beef. Not bad but feels like wasted opportunity. But it was pleasant experience, so this si nitpicking.
It became our favorite restaurant in Bend thanks to exceptionally welcoming Martha, great bartenders Kira and Gio. Sashimi was excellent. We ended up coming back again and again! Big thank you!
